ETHOSALIS begins from a single conviction: a significant work is chosen, not accumulated. We don’t fill shelves or chase catalogues. Each work is selected in person and judged on its own terms — the intelligence of its material, the integrity of its making, and the quiet authority it earns through sustained artistic practice.

We work as buyers and curators rather than pursuing volume — fewer pieces, chosen with conviction, each able to stand alone in a collection or lived space. We offer nothing we would not be glad to own ourselves.

We present works by artists and makers across East Asia, from historic material traditions to distinct contemporary practices. The collection grows deliberately, one region, tradition, and artist at a time. Each piece is researched and presented with the authorship, provenance, documentation, and cultural context a serious collector expects.

Works can be acquired directly by inquiry, offer, or hold. For collectors and curators we arrange private viewings — in person where possible, or as a live video walk-through — so a work can be read closely before any decision.

September 2024 — The gallery was established.

2025 — First curated collection brought online.
